THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are delighted to be retained by a Private Equity backed Business Services company to find a M&A Manager, reporting directly to the group’s Director of Corporate Development, to lead & drive the inorganic growth strategy in the DACH region. They are looking for a German native/fluent speaker with a background in M&A, from corporate, advisory or private equity, to continue the company’s successful acquisition strategy across Germany, Switzerland and Austria and contribute to transactions end-to-end as they continue to scale up.

 

THE ROLE:

  • The successful applicant will be leading and conducting strategic acquisitions, implementing group inorganic growth strategy and key strategic projects all across the DACH region.

  • The role offers an attractive career development track and will allow you to gain significant practical M&A and operational experience.

  • The successful applicant will assist on transactions end-to-end, from sourcing to closing, allowing them to own full scope of the process.

  • Involvement in working on business plans and group strategy with the senior management team, such as integration projects, synergy realisation, optimisation and restructurings.

  • Working closely with the countries’ Managing Directors to find new leads & source new targets across the region.

  • The successful candidate will engage in direct contact with the targets, build relationships and be the main point of contact for the DACH region.

  • Ad-hoc transactions on other geographies, to support the Director of Corporate Development and the continued growth.

  • This role offer a large degree of autonomy with significant exposure to top management (C-suite, board members, investors…)

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in M&A, from advisory, corporate or private equity.

  • Academic background from an established University.

  • Experience managing full transactions end-to-end.

  • Strong modelling and financial / accounting skills, proficient in power point and presentation skills

  • Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills

  • Motivated, entrepreneurial and self-driven nature.

  • Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationships with the stakeholders.

  • Due to the nature of this role, a German native speaker or full fluency in German is required.

  • There is flexibility around location for this role & can be remote. Travel is to be expected & is an integral part of the role (1.5/2 days a week approx.)
