 THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is exclusively collaborating with a multi-billion-dollar European asset manager known for its exceptional track record in real estate, credit, and private equity investments. They are actively seeking to enhance their distribution capabilities by hiring a Director-level candidate to focus on fundraising for their UK-focused real estate and credit investment funds. The hired individual will be responsible for developing relationships with professional investors in the UK, with a specific focus on high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and investment family offices.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Lead business development activities from a targeted UK investor base, raise assets and ensure long-term growth

  • Extensive mapping of relevant investor networks and the execution of regular and targeted sales campaigns.

  • Overseeing distribution channels for investment funds, including financial advisors, brokers, and online platforms, to ensure effective utilization in reaching targeted investors.

  • Cultivating and managing relationships with distribution partners like financial institutions and intermediaries. Responsibilities include negotiating agreements, providing training and support, and resolving any issues that arise.

  • Conducting thorough due diligence to evaluate and select distribution partners who fit the company’s strategy and target market.

  • Monitoring the performance of distribution channels and partners by analyzing sales metrics, market share, and investor feedback. Implementing improvements to enhance distribution effectiveness.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A knowledge of the UK real estate finance landscape to the extent that you will understand key competitors' offerings to best position the company products in the UK market.

  • Demonstrated track record in managing client relationships within key investor segments in the UK market and a background of generating leads and converting prospects.

  • The role will suit a ‘hunter’ profile capable of selling through their own ‘brand’ and not relying solely on the institution's name to gain entry.
