THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are retained by a Software company, backed by a private equity firm, who are seeking a newly created Head of FP&A to support the CFO as the company look to make an exit within the next 18 – 24 months. As Head of FP&A, you will play a pivotal part in guiding the financial strategy and driving the financial performance of the company. As a strategic partner to the CFO and Shareholders, you will provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.

 

THE ROLE:

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives

  • Work with the C-Suite team and shareholders to provide recommendations and insights for key decision making

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive business performance

  • Provide the CFO with weekly and monthly KPI’s and further explanations of variance to budget and PY

  • Perform regular product and client profitability analysis

  • Continually enhance business intelligence tools and dashboard reports

  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting

Business Partnership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive financial performance

  • Partner with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets and forecasts

  • Develop financial models to provide financial support for strategic projects and investments

  • Support the management team and Department Leaders with data-driven analysis

Stakeholder management / engagement:

  • Collaborate and prepare monthly / ad-hoc reporting for Shareholder

  • Lender and ESG reporting

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Finance Professional (ACA, ACCA)

  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with a strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting processes

  • Proven experience of working within Private Equity / Corporate Finance with exposure to M&A

  • The ability to communicate complex financial information and insights effectively to internal and non-financial stakeholders

  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, whilst being able to see the big picture and drive long term value
