​THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are partnering with a Large Cap Private Equity backed Manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer.

This position reports directly into the CEO and will be a key stakeholder in driving the strategic agenda of the organisation.

 The business has annual revenues of €500m with a healthy EBITDA and highly ambitious expansion plans.

 The current value creation plan comes with an expectation to exit within the next 2-3 years, where the successfully appointed CFO will be pivotal to ensuring the business is prepared for this event.

 International Headquarters are based in Frankfurt with key Manufacturing Plants (5 in total) across Europe.

THE ROLE:

The Chief Financial Officer will be a ‘hands on’ finance leader with a strong track record of developing teams, leading on key finance transformation initiatives and excelling within a Private Equity environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly into the CEO, you will have full responsibility and ownership of the Finance function (8 direct reports) including Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Controlling, Accounting and Plant Leadership.

  • Creating a high-performance culture and the ongoing development of your direct reports and wider finance team.

  • Driving efficiencies around internal processes, functionality and utilisation of technology by leading on key finance transformation projects.

  • A commercial and strategic Business Partner and sounding board to the CEO and broader Senior Leadership Team.

  • High level of engagement with Private Equity Investors, updating and reporting on strategic focus areas, progress and business planning.

  • Leading on re-financing initiatives.

  • Supporting on M&A activities and subsequent integrations.

  • An openness to travel and spend time at the Manufacturing Plants, supporting local MD’s and Finance Leadership on the operations of the Plants and key commercial topics.

 
THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant CFO experience within a Large Cap PE Backed Manufacturing environment.

  • Prior PE deal exposure.

  • Hybrid / Flexible working is available, with a requirement to be on-site in Frankfurt 3 days per week.
